Jetpack Compose integration

Use the Jetpack Compose namespace only in an Android component tree. Import components from @expo/ui/jetpack-compose, render the tree inside <Host>, and isolate the code from screens that also run on iOS.

Modifiers are functions that describe Compose layout, drawing, interaction and semantics. Import them from @expo/ui/jetpack-compose/modifiers and pass their results through a component's modifiers prop. The Modifiers documentation lists the supported functions.

Use useNativeState when a Compose control must update native state without waiting for the JavaScript thread. Use RNHostView only to embed React Native content inside the Compose tree. Material theme tokens come from the Material Colors helpers, and shape values come from the Shape helpers. The Host documentation covers sizing and containment.
